Volunteer Policy

Youth swimming is unlike any other sport. It often takes 100+ people just to run one swim meet! Do this reason, we need all families to complete volunteer hours each season.

During the 2026 season we expect each family to volunteer for at least 10 hours. For a point of reference, if one parent works one full swim meet, that is 4 hours toward the requirement.

Families that do not meet the 10 hour requirement will be assessed an $160 volunteer fee at the end of the season.

There are many volunteer opportunities available during each meet and most require no knowledge of swimming.  Training will be provided to volunteers.

While most volunteer hours are earned during the swim meets, we do have opportunities to earn hours outside of the meets at pep rallies and our end of season events.  Please read the descriptions of the volunteer positions below.

Descriptions of Volunteer Positions

Linked below is a description of the volunteer positions that need to be filled for swim meets and for the swim season. During swim meets, volunteers can work the 1st half of the meet (~7:45-9:45 am), second half (~9:45-11:45 am) of the meet, or for the full meet.  This list also includes opportunities for volunteer hours outside of swim meets.
